1. Who we are

PANACHE ENGINEERING INC (“Panache Engineering”, “we”, “us”) operates the website panacheg.com and the SDS Importance Factor Calculator mobile application (the “App”). This policy explains what information we handle when you use either.

2. Information the App collects

The App does not require an account, does not ask for your name, email, phone number, or payment information, and does not use advertising or cross-app tracking identifiers.

Values you enter — such as a site address or latitude/longitude, risk category, component parameters, and height ratios — are used only to perform the requested seismic calculation on your device and, where a site address or coordinate lookup is requested, to query the public USGS/ASCE seismic hazard web service. We do not store those values on our servers and do not link them to you.

3. Information the website collects

When you submit a contact form, calculation request, or file upload on panacheg.com, we receive the information you provide (such as name, company, email, phone, project details, and attachments) so that we can respond and deliver engineering services. We use it for that purpose only.

Our web hosting and analytics providers process standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, referring page, and pages viewed, in order to keep the site secure and measure aggregate traffic. Calculator pages may store your acceptance of our waiver of liability locally in your browser so you are not prompted repeatedly; that value stays on your device.

4. How we use information

We use information to provide and improve our calculators and services, respond to inquiries, prepare proposals and engineering deliverables, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising or behavioral profiling.

5. Service providers

We rely on a limited set of vendors to operate the site and App — including cloud hosting, database and file storage, email delivery, error monitoring, and the public seismic hazard data service. These providers may process data only to perform services for us and are bound by confidentiality obligations.

6. Data retention and security

Project inquiries and uploaded files are retained for as long as needed to serve the engagement and to satisfy our professional record-keeping and legal obligations, then deleted or archived. We use encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and least-privilege credentials to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children

The website and App are professional engineering tools intended for business use. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your choices and rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you have submitted to us by emailing support@panacheg.com. Depending on where you live (for example California or the EEA/UK), you may have additional rights regarding access, deletion, correction, and portability; we honor verified requests as required by applicable law.

Because the App does not collect personal information, deleting the App removes any locally stored inputs from your device.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services change. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and material changes will be highlighted here.
