Learn moreWhat is seismic anchoring?
Seismic anchoring is the engineering discipline that keeps nonstructural equipment, piping, ductwork, and non-building structures attached to the building during a design earthquake. In California, seismic anchoring is required by the 2025 CBC (which adopts ASCE 7-22 and ACI 318-19), and stamped seismic anchor calculations are required for nearly every piece of fixed equipment in hospitals, data centers, and industrial facilities.
Working with PANACHE on seismic anchoring
We deliver the complete seismic anchoring package: code-current seismic anchor calculations, anchor bolt design per ACI 318-19 Chapter 17, and HCAI/IBC-ready submittals. For California hospital projects, see our HCAI seismic certification services.
