Always verify the current approval number, status, and expiration on the official HCAI listing before specification or project use.

Expired is not the same as unusable. Per HCAI PIN 55, equipment covered by an expired OSP may still be used where the project's HCAI accepted date is on or before the OSP expiration date. Cancelled or void approvals are different — they cannot be relied on. Do not infer usability from a status label alone; compare the OSP expiration date against your project's HCAI acceptance date and confirm with HCAI.
